Emulsion Asphalt Tack Coat - The solution

EA-R61 / CRS-1 : Type Asphalt Emulsion Rapid Setting which is used as a Tack Coat with clean water mixed with ph +/- 7 Tack Coat Asphalt Emulsion is perfect for all weather conditions. hot, dry, or wet Tack Coat Asphalt Emulsion acts as an even layer of adhesive with perfect adhesion for work on old asphalt roads / overlay

Advantages of Using Emulsion Asphalt Tack Coat

  • WITHOUT HEATING
    • Emulsion Tack Coat does not require heating to apply

  • FAST SETTING
    • Emulsion Asphalt Tack Coat dries / sets within 5-10 minutes. This will make the road operation / road maintenance faster.

  • CAN BE USED ON WET ROAD SURFACES
    • Emulsion Tack Coat can be applied to road surfaces that are still wet due to rain (no standing water). No need to wait for the road to dry.

  • CAN BE LITTLE WITH WATER
    • To facilitate implementation, TACK COAT can be diluted with clean water to a ratio of 60: 40/50: 50 and use in the field with vol. 0.35 -0.60 lt / m2.

  • EXCELLENT ADJUSTMENT
    • Emulsion Tack Coat uses 60/70 Asphalt to provide excellent adhesion to the old road surface and new layers.

  • NOT BLEEDING
    • Excessive use of Cotback (MC) can cause bleeding because the oil that rises to the new layer causes the asphalt to become soft and rise to the surface after traffic passes. Emulsion Asphalt Tack Coat eliminates this possibility.

  • ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY
    • Asphalt Emulsion Tack Coat The percentage of use of oil is very small as a solvent so that it does not cause too much oil vapor which causes pollution while saving fuel consumption which automatically makes it environmentally friendly.

  • COMPETITIVE PRICE
    • In terms of price, Emulsion Asphalt Tack Coat is much cheaper than the MC or RC Cutback price due to high oil prices.

Instructions for Use of Emulsion Asphalt Tack Coat

Materials

CLEAN WATER, contains no chemicals or salt, recommended ph +/- 7, SEA WATER is not recommended for use as a mixture, it will cause lumps. EA-TC: is an asphalt emulsion that has been formulated as a ready-to-use tack coat, can be stored for a maximum of 3 months EA-R61 / CRS-1: for Tack Coat, the application is mixed with clean water ph +/- 7 with the comparison formula as above, namely 60: 40/50: 50, can be stored for a period of +/- 1 year

Tools

  • Asphalt distributor truck or Asphalt Sprayer with high spraying pressure.
  • Air Compressor.
  • Water Tank if needed.

ASPAL EMULSI - CRS-2 / EA-R65

CRS-2/EA-R65 type Asphalt Cationic Emulsion is made by mixing hot asphalt with the water phase into the Colloid Mill machine. In the emulsification process, the hot binder is mechanically separated into small lumps and dispersed in water treated with a small amount of an appropriate emulsifier.

Aplikasi

CRS-2 type of emulsion asphalt which is used for BURTU / BURDA and PENETRATION LAYER work Can be applied at temperatures that do not need to be completely dry and can be applied in a wider variety of conditions. CRS-2 emulsion asphalt types are used for BURTU / BURDA and PENETRATION LAYER work. broader conditions

Benefits of Using EA-R65 / CRS-2 Emulsion Asphalt

  • Weather tolerant
  • Tolerates moist rock (slightly wet)
  • Does not require heating - saves fuel oil
  • Does not create pollution, preserves the environment
  • The stickiness value of the asphalt does not decrease as is often the case due to repeated heating
  • EMULSION ASPHALT BURDA:

In general, Emulsion Asphalt Burda is a cover layer consisting of Emulsion Asphalt Layer, sprinkled with aggregate of a certain size and worked in succession with a maximum thickness of 35 mm

    First Layer:

  • Spraying 1.6 - 2.3 lt / m2 of First Emulsion type CRS-2
  • Spraying with Asphalt Distributor is running at a steady pace
  • Mark the spray limit for a neat result
  • The parts that are not exposed to the emulsion asphalt spray are repaired with Asphalt Hand Sprayer
  • Carry out a test spraying / calibration before carrying out the job
  • Immediately lay out the aggregate. First, measure the nominal thickness of the aggregate of 20 mm so that the stone is covered with emulsion asphalt, which is still dilute
  • Overlaid by Chipp Spreader or manually
  • First compaction using 8-12 Ton Pneumatic Tire Roller (PTR)
  • Second Layer:

  • Spraying of Asphalt Emulsion for both types of CRS-2 as much as 2.3 - 2.7 l / m2
  • Immediately spread the Second Aggregate to 9 mm (
  • Compaction with PTR 6-8 tonnes for 4-6 passes
  • Aspal Polimer

Aspal Polimer is a material resulting from modification of natural or synthetic polymers with asphalt. Modified asphalt polymer (or PMA for short) has been developed over the last few decades. Generally, with a little addition of polymer material (usually around 2-6%) can increase the results of better resistance to deformation, overcome cracks and increase high resistance to damage due to age so that the construction of roads is more durable and can reduce maintenance costs. or roadworks. The use of asphalt polymer blends is an increasing trend not only because of economic factors, but also in order to obtain better asphalt quality and longevity. The asphalt polymer modification obtained from the interaction between the asphalt components and polymer additives can improve the properties of the asphalt. In this case it appears that the polymer additive cohesiveness is suitable for the asphalt mixture. The use of polymers as materials for modifying asphalt has continued to grow in the last decades.
